Once a year we offer Bee School, a series of evening classes in beekeeping taught by beekeepers. In seven weekly classes,
bee-ginners will learn:
- The fascinating life cycle of the honey bee
- How to assemble a hive
- How to take care of your bees
- The equipment and tools involved
- A hobby that you will treasure for a lifetime
School will begin on Monday February 25th and end April 22nd.
Classes will be conducted from 7:00pm until 9:00pm every Monday within this period except for March 18th and April 15 that are the Association's regular meeting nights. (school nights are thus: 02/25; 03/04; 03/11; 03/25; 04/01; 04/08; 04/22).
Cost to attend is $60.00 per person and includes our study book, Beekeeping For Dummies', a current publication on the identification and treatment of bee diseases, and the student's first year membership in our Beekeepers Association. One related person can attend with a paying student for an additional $5.00 but will not receive the printed material.
School will be held at the Masonic Lodge located at 12 South Road in Candia, NH where there is more than ample parking available.
